Reversing a filter after saving document

If a filter is used for just some of the columns in a sheet, any other coloumn would stay unchanged and new matches would have been made between the cells in filtered and unfiltered columns.

Is there anyway to restore the original rows?

An example: names are matched to last names and to telephone numbers. Names and last names are selected but not the numbers. Then a filter is applied to sort names from a-z and the numbers stay as they were. Is there any way to find the original order between names and numbers again?

easiest way is to add another column and number from 1 downwards
after any sorting you can then resort ascending by that column to put everything back as it was
but any sorting should always be done with the whole range. if you cant undo it using the undo function then its probable too late!
