    Excel Date problem

    Hi,

I was hoping someone could help with a problem with excel.

I have a macro created to build a report for me, this is a Week to Date report so the first day it runs for 1 day the next it runs for 2 and so on throughout the week.

How it works out what day it is and how many days to run for is built in however I am having a problem with the exported data opening in an American Date format. When the exported data is opened manually by double clicking the csv it opens fine in the european format but when the macro opens the csv it opens in the american format.

This is a huge problem because the macro works out what day it is by formatting the date to a general number and using that as a baseline, however if you convert the same date from two seperate formats you get two different outcomes. Example: 14/03/2008 becomes 39521 but 03/14/2008 stays as 03/14/2008

If anyone knows how to get the dates to open as European dates that would be great, also Regional settings have been checked and it is set to European.
