    Auto-Populating Excel Calendar

I am looking for an excel calendar that will auto-populate content into it based on a spreadsheet that I fill in.

Maybe I would just need the formula that would be inserted into each calendar day? I'm not sure how you would set this up, but I'm open to suggestions!

I have attached the .xls file for your reference.

For example: The comment "Client 1 - KOM" would populate in a blank calendar in excel on the date 3/23/2009.

    Thanks in advance,

    Vince

    Check out this post,

I don't know if this link will work, but I designed a calendar that does exactly what you are asking about.

Very nice, this does do exactly what I'm looking to get accomplished, but for me, these are some very complicated formulas. I just can't quite figure out how to revamp your calendar to work with my example spreadsheet.

    Can you provide any direction?

    Thanks again.

    Re: Auto-Populating Excel Calendar

If you want to have it work for you, there are only 2 columns on each day that do not have formula's, you can just copy the formulas into those columns or delete them or insert new one's the formulas are based on the numbers to the left to see which value from that day to input, the number on the bottom of the calendar to determine how far to go to the right to find the day number. The letters at the bottom of the calendar indicate which edit(columns not rows) to pull the values from. Now that I am thinking about it, the dates in the table have to be in column D. If you need to see Sunday and Saturday, I may need to have another look.

    Enjoy!

I'm sorry Everstrivin, but I'm still having trouble. Do you think you could quickly set this up in the example .doc for me? I think that I could complete the full task with the example sheet as a reference.

Thanks for your patience with this noob.

I will make an example.doc, in the meantime is it working at all for you?

Yes, it appears to be working, but I just don't know how to work it! lol

I'll wait for your example .doc so that I can understand this a little better.

I hope enough instructions are in the document. If I need to add anything, just let me know. Also, if you would like to hit the scales just to the above right, that would be nice too.

    Thanks, Enjoy!

Sorry, this forum will not take large word docs. I had to put it all into Excel, sorry it doesn't look that great. I hope you can figure it out. Enjoy!

Hi - I'd like to do the same. Please see files attached.
I coordinate 3 buses with 4+ drivers. Currently I export data from my data base and manually populate a calendar I designed with add'l equations to total driver hours.
Reading this string: I'm an everyday user and have little exposure to complicated formulas, but I think I can "get it" with this forum's help.
Most trips are daily, however I do have overnight trips - see calendar: 4/9 and 4/10.
A bus can also accomodate 2 different requests in one day if times do not overlap - see calendar: 4/15.
I look forward to your assistance.

I just noticed you're request moltenlava, would you still be interested in some help with this?
If you can't figure out how a formula works, try stepping through it using "Evaluate Formula" in the Formula Auditing menu item in the tools menu!

If you want to see where your code went wrong, try stepping through it by clicking in the code and pressing F8 and watch as the magic happens!

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I figured I might try and help out.

I actually just finished making my own auto-populating calendar. Not sure if it will help, but it is triggered by selecting the calendar month drop-down and clicking "Yes" when prompted.

This is good, but there's an error somewhere in the day formula with the array. It populates each calendar with 30 days regardless of month. I'm trying to fix it, but I'm a novice at this - at best.

O.K. I've got it to recognize 31 days. Now I've got to work on getting it to point to the right month/number of days. One step forward.

I've got it working pretty good now with one exception. Every other month, I get a random event posted in a random cell that doesn't clear when the coding clears the calendar. You'll see it if you use it.

This is a great spreadsheet and exactly what I need as well - however, when I download it, it turns off the macros. Any way to download it with the macros enabled?

    Re: Auto-Populating Excel Calendar

    Hello to everyone!

I am trying to auto populate an Excel Calendar from a spreadsheet.

I know that is doable, as I read it here.....but I really don't know how to do it.

Ideally I would like both (spreadsheet and calendar) to be in different workbooks.
I would also like to know how to have both in the same document.
I am attaching both files so that you guys can have an idea of what I need.
    1. Spreadsheet.
2.Calendar.The calendar is a template I found in the internet. If you think that I should use a special one. Plz let me know.

The fields that I need to populate on the calendar are:
    Date
    Time
    Presenter
    Closers

Your help will be really appreciated!

    Thanks
    Matias

    Re: Auto-Populating Excel Calendar

I am trying to design an events calendar pdf for posting on a website in place of an interactive events calendar that is in the works with a web redesign. I need a visual excel calendar to be populated by another sheet with a column of dates and a column of events. I have absolutely NO excel skills whatsoever. I am a graphic designer and am trying to make a visual that is easily populated by my clients so I can design it for printing. PLEASE help!!!

This is an awesome calendar, thank you Great Excel Wizard! Yeah that bug is annoying but this is still light years ahead of what I was working with, much appreciated!

A little late to the conversation, but here is a simple calendar I made. I don't know if the calendars already presented are similar or what, but I felt the desire to post my sample.
