    Date formula help requested pls.

    Hi all,

First post so I would be very grateful for any help from you guys.

I would like to create a financial modeling spreadsheet. Basically my problem is this; I want to have a month by month row for 5 years. For the value of each one I would like it to increase by 950 per month automatically. What formula should I use please?

    Again thanks in advance,

    Mark

Can you not just use =A1+950 and copy that down to the bottom of the column?
If you can't figure out how a formula works, try stepping through it using "Evaluate Formula" in the Formula Auditing menu item in the tools menu!

If you want to see where your code went wrong, try stepping through it by clicking in the code and pressing F8 and watch as the magic happens!

It sounds like you're attempting to do more then just count up by 950. Perhaps a sample, or a more in depth description would be helpful? IE I don't know how many rows there are to a month, or even if they're on the same page.

If you are just trying to create a column, increasing by 950 each row,
Please Login or Register to view this content.
enter those in two cells, then highlight them both, and grab the bottom right corner with the mouse. Drag it down as far as you want, Excel will repeat the mathematical process which you've shown it, and increase each row by 950.
