Figure changes when i paste down cells??

Im trying to copy the phrase "Athy Boys Nat. School - Room 01" down along 400 cells by clicking the little grey box on the bottom right corner of the cell and dragging it down, but instead of it staying as "Athy Boys Nat. School - Room 01" it progresses at each cell ie Athy Boys Nat. School - Room 02, Athy Boys Nat. School - Room 03 etc

Is there a way to stop this?

    Good evening Mikebyrne

Use copy and paste - then it won't update.

If you must drag, then make the first two cells exactly the same, select them both, then left click and drag - Excel will get the message that you don't want any of its "intelligent" incrementing ...

or you can drag it the way you did and you will see a small box "Auto Fill Option" at the end of the cells below, just click on it and chose the "Copy Cells"

That's a good point - you do indeed get that option with Excel 2007, but now with Excel 2003 which the OP is using.
