    open file in single instances

    Hi all,

One problem I frequently face is when I open excel files it opens in a new applications. i.e I am unable to do lookups... I use to drag the file into the existing one to make lookup command works.
Is there is any way such that excel file opens in single instance (already opened).

I have win xp and excel 2007 and 2003 both installed.

You can find that option by > clicking the window sysem (top left) > then Excel Options > Advance > will be listed under the heading "display"
