Combo box and displaying multiple values

Is it possible to have a combo box with a list of values a user can select, and display all the results for those values? example: I have two columns, one category title, the other is the title. There are 4 categories with 10 values per category. If the user selects one of the categories, I want to display all 10 of those values referring to that category, either by clicking through, or repeating the results. Any help would be appreciated, THANKS!!!

    Hi,

Welcome to the forum, do you mean something like dependant lists?

Re: Combo box and displaying multiple values

    Hi,

Thank you for the information. That is sort of what I am looking for, but my direction for the excel sheet has changed. I'm going to use advanced filters to sort my excel results. What I am trying to do now is count the number of records that still exist when some filters are chosen. I used =CountA to count all the values for the entire sheet, but when I start filtering, I want the results to be dynamic. So right now there are ~500 rows, and when I filter to ~10, the cell with the =CountA fomula still shows the ~500 records. I want it to show the ~10 results. Any thoughts on how I can achieve this?

    Hi,

Take a look at this link using subtotals with filtering

I'm currently working on a project that this would be perfect for. However, I'm having a problem even getting the example to work. My first drop down is working, displaying either fruit or vegetable. However, I can't get the fruit or vegetable lists to display when I make my first selection. How are their particular list tied to the item column?
