Prevent certain area from being filtered

    Hi,

I’ve got a 250 row querytable that constantly expands/retracts. On this table I’ve applied the autofilter function to be able to filter all projects in the list based on supplier, sales area etc.

What I want to do now is adding a summary on what is shown on the screen (by using the sumproduct function,

I was thinking of putting this summary table on the right on my list since the end-user shouldn’t have to scroll down to the bottom every time and also I can’t think of how to solve it practically as my list expands/retracts all the time. The problem is that when I put it on the right side it will also be filtered since I don’t know how to “lock” these cells from being filtered.

Does anyone have a clue how to solve this? Could you make a second window or somehow solve this with VBA? I've made some attempts with "paste picture link" but it keeps my Excel crash all the time.

Thanks so much for this great forum.

    Best regards

How about putting it above all your data or to the side of your title row?

You can then freeze pane, through Window|Freeze Pane, below this and so if user scrolls down, he will always see the summary at the top...

    Hi NBVC,

Thanks for the suggestion but since the statistics table is 6 rows tall it will not be optimail to have it above the actual query table. What I would like the most is to have it to the right of the query table. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

What about to the right of the table but on same row as header?
