How to sort dashes to the bottom of the list

    All,

Can someone tell me how I can sort "--" to the bottom of the list? When sorting in descending order, "--" are at the top right now. Are custom lists the only way to get around it?

    Thanks,
    Judy

    add another column
    then put =IF(A1="--",-2.2251E-308,A1)
then sort by that column descending
