Need formula for -- If Text = 1 and Text =-1 adjust running total

    Need formula for -- If Text = 1 and Text =-1 adjust running total

    example:

    1312 (total)

    SS 1311 (new total)
    LA 1310 (new total)
    LB 1309 (new total)
    LS 1310 (new total)


    LS =+1
    SS, LA, LB =-1

    If those are formulas in a column, then something like:

    Note: The alphastrings have to be sorted in this order for this to work, put the matching values in the matching positions in the second array.

    Check the Excel Help files (Press F1) on LOOKUP and you'll see different ways you can implement this.
