Need Formula - Just in Time Production

I'm looking for a formula that would tell me how many cashiers it would take to process x number of customers in a given hour without any customer waiting longer than 30 minutes in line. Let's say it takes a cashier 10 minutes to process each customer.

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Just in Time!

    hi Ryan,

    Welcome to the Forum

Can you please amend your thread title to be more descriptive in accordance with Forum Rule 1?

    1. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 hours have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

    Thanks

Each cashier can process an average of six people an hour. If any more than six people arrive per cashier per hour, the line will grow indefinitely.

Take a deep breath, then Google queueing theory.
