I have an excel spreadsheet on a share drive and have been asked to email the link, how do I accomplish this so when the person requesting receives the email, they can click on the location and go right to file?
If they have access to the same shared drive, you should be able to give them the file location on the shared drive & they should have access to it.
So for instance if the file that you mention is on the X: drive & you want to give them marketing data you could go: My Computer > X: > Marketing Data Folder > File XYZ.
You may have to check with your adminstrator for shared drive access because this is usually controlled by the network admin.

if they are asking for a link then usually there is a web based front end, like livelink
and you'd just copy the url and paste it.
however just sending the path to a shared file will not always work
it depends on how your drive is mapped it may not be the same as theirs.
say g:\docs\excel files
that may not be the full path it depends on what g is mapped to
thats what your it dept/network admin is there for to advise you, this is not really excel related as it could apply to anything!
