    Frozen cells - not responding

    Hi members

I hope someone can help me with this problem i am having.

I have a workbook with several spreadsheets in it. My 1st sheet is a summary sheet, the rows represents the sum total find each worksheet, normally i will just clk on the cell in the summary sheet and clk on the worksheet i need and clk on the total.

It always worked but suddenly won't respond. When i put= in a cell in the summary sheet and clk on the sum total of the other worksheets, it won't clk, it's like it has been frozen. I unlocked the cell protection but it still won't respond when i clk on any cells on the worksheets.

Please help me with this nightmare.

    Regards

    Tools|Protection|Unprotect Worsheet or

    Tools|Protection|Unprotect Workbook
Where there is a will there are many ways.

I mean close down Excel and re-open it...

but even maybe rebooting PC might not hurt.

Does it happen with all your workbooks or just this one? If just this one, can you post it here, if not too sensitive and I can see if it happens with me too... I can't think of any Option setting that enable/disable selection like that.

    Hi NBVC

I am emailing you from work, i asked my other colleagues to try it on their PC but they are all having the same problem. We have a system analyst here who reckoned it's to do with our excel version we are working on i.e2002 as it works on his XL 2003.

But we are finding it strange as we have been working on this workbook for 6mths and did not have any trouble.

    Anyway thanks for your help.
