Excel 2007 : Pasting tables

    Pasting tables

    I'm trying to paste this table (http://www.mpe.mpg.de/~m31novae/opt/m31/M31_table.html) into excel. It needs to look exactly the same except for one thing: the RA DEC column (second column) needs to be separated into two different columns.

    Paste the table, then insert a column after column B.

    Select column B, and do Data > Text to columns, tick Delimited, Next, in Delimiters tick Other, and put + in the adjacent box, Finish. That will move the declination to col C.
