    Pivot Table Grouping

    Hi All,

I decided to dabble with the Pivot Table function per recommendations from experts on this forum.

Simply put, it's such an intuitive way of presenting data in a meaningful way.

How do I group dates into months AND year? I can group them by months easily, but the grouping lumps the same months from different years.

    Thanks!

    Frank

    Hi Frank,

Let's assume your pivot table dates are in column A, from A5 to A100. Right-click on any of those dates and select Group... then while holding down CTRL, click Months and then click Years (both should be selected/highlited). Click OK and you should be all set!
