    Clipboard paste

Will the clipboard paste into the spreadsheet in rows rather than columns?
I know you can do a Paste Special after you get it in and it convert.

    Welcome to the forum.

It will if the data is delimited by tabs instead of line breaks.

Thanks, but what I am doing in copying Text from Microstation(computer aided drafting software.)
The text has no page breaks, it is just basically in blocks. I am trying to paste a Bill of Material that is broken up into Item, Qty, Unit, Desc.
Each one is a different field, but in a row.

You can record a macro and do a paste special with transpose of the pasted data. And if you work a little harder you can also make the macro delete the original pasted column
