How to use text import wizard with clipboard data?

There are a lot of times where I would need to save data in a text file before I can use the "Get External Data: From Text".

How can I import my clipboard so the text import wizard can be used?

what you want to copy something , leave it on the clipboard then get excel to get the data?
there is already that facility its called "paste"
copying to a text file then opening with excel is really tha only way to go.

paste the data into a cell, then click on the little paste icon that shows up right next to your pasted cell and select "Use import wizard"
