Adding the date

Is there a wat to have the date refresh itself in a cell when you open the spreadsheet?

Hi Jodie,

There sure is. In the cell you wanted updated, use either

=TODAY()

or

=NOW()

TODAY returns the date, NOW returns the date and time. This field will re-calculate every time the sheet re-calculates, including when it's opened.

You can custom format those fields to show the date or date/time how you wish.
