    VLOOKUP formula help

Ok so I am using a VLOOKUP and entered =VLOOKUP(B8,'Master Pak Number list'!A2:I252,2,false) and everything should be right but when I hit enter the only thing it displays is the formula. Any ideas on whats wrong?

The cell is probably defined as "text" or somesuch. Do Control-1, then change the category to "general"
