Determining Discounts On An Invoice

Hi all i am new here i have a invoice on excel that i am trying to edit i have it currently set to get the subtotal the add sales tax and then create total what i would like to do is change the sales tax to discount then have it work out the total after x% discount i have no idea how to doe this does anyone here?

Hi Gavpedz, welcome to the forum. You should be aware, using the word "Help" in your title is almost certain to get your question moderated... You should change that...click on EDIT in the first post and change that title to something more applicable, like just "Determining Discounts On An Invoice". OK? Do that.

Then post a new message explaining what you want to do with discounts. You can just type DISCOUNT over the word SALES TAX. Then explain your discounting structure if you want help creating a formula.

Ok thanks done yes all i want to to do is figure out what the formula would be to take x amount of % from the subtotal so if i typed in 10% the total would deduct the discount of 10% same for any % discount how would i create this formula?



OK i have just found the formula in Microsoft help why is it i search for ever and can not find anything then as soon as i ask someone i find the answer before they can answer lol thanks anyway guys.
