Generating list of sequential numbers (sans formulas)

How do I generate a long list of sequential numbers (column or row) (i.e., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...) without having to either enter each one or using the "=a1+1, =a2+1, =a3+1,... functions? I want the numbers to be "real," not the result of formulas.

    Thanks!

One way is to type the first two values, then highlight both cells, click on the lower right hand corner and drag the block out (right or down) as far as you need.

    Thanks! Didn't think of that!
