    Insert New row with formatting

I have a workbook with sheet 1, this sheet 1 has 8 individual job charts that I imput employee names and hours. The B1 column is were I imput the employee name by using a drop down list.

I would like a new row inserted directly below the row that I am inserting the name in from the drop down list. This new row must duplicate the formulas, styles ect of the row that I am inserting the name in.

If anyone can help me I can senf you the small file on this so you can see what I am doing or we can talk directly on the phone also if need be.

Please help me with this, and Thanks

Copy the row, then insert copied cells Perhaps. You could record a macro using relative references.

I think you're looking for functionality offered by Excel's "LIST" function. Highlight your current data set and press CTRL-L to be offered the LIST activation.

Once it's active, you will have autofilters at the top of each column, but even better is what's happening at the BOTTOM of the list.

When your cursor is IN the data set, the bounded blue "list" will expand by one row to offer you a new line to enter a new set of data. If you were to put data into ANY cell in that row, the entire row becomes permanent and all the formatting and formulas from the dataset above are included in this new row automatically.

    Check it out.
