Hi,
I have created a basic form in Excel, locking all the cells that I do not want edited, and unlocking all the cells that I do want editing.
All locked cells have been "hidden" too, as some contain formulas that update when the unlocked cells have information in them, mostly numbers.
I have locked the WorkBook and locked the sheet. The form works absolutely fine, how I want it to.
All except one thing. I have googled this extensively and can find no help at all.
After I have input text into one of the unlocked cells, let's call it A1, when I tab to the next cell, let's call it A2, this is fine. A1 retains the text that I input into it. If I notice a mistake in A1, when I click into the cell to edit, it removes all previous data.
If I had input 200 words into cell A1, and wanted to edit 1 word, I cannot. Because as soon as I click A1 again, it removes everything to a blank cell.
You cannot edit in the cell or on the formula bar.
Can anyone help me? It is driving me to distraction.
