I need the MAX of A2 and A3 at B2 to B13
then MAX of A4 and A5 at B14 to 26 and so on. can you guys help me in this issue? Thank you

Is there a header? Am I understanding correctly that you're looking for a formula that will put the value 8 (MAX A2:A3) in all cells from B2:B13 (12 cells total), then 8 again (MAX A4:A5) in B14:B26 (13 cells total), then 5 in B27:B?? How does the range covered in B change going forward? It isn't quite clear what you're after, could you please provide a small sample workbook (use Go Advanced > Manage Attachments) showing what you have/want or provide a few more details here?
