STATUS column, reading from other inputs from other column

I deal with offenders in custody in the Dallas County Jail. There are three stages offender goes through when they come through me.

#1 Offender Court Date

#2 Offender Parole Hearing Date

#3 Board Decision Date

On my last column we have a STATUS
The STATUS will be either:

Waiting Court Date

Waiting Hearing Date

Waiting Board Action
Waiting ISF Transport
Waiting ID Transport
Waiting Residentail Placement

Is there away where my STATUS date will automatcally fill in, when I enter data in the columns?

So say for instant offender has a court date (but has yet arrive on that date) that it will say WAITING COURT DATE?

Here is the problem I run into, If the offender had his court date and now is WAITING PAROLE HEARING DATE, how would it over look the court date if a hearing date is now inputed?

I think you would need to tell us what combination of entries would result in what status...

You have 6 status but 3 date columns... what combination of dates need to be filled for what corresponding status?
