Putting data/using formulas on an image

I've been working on a project where I have to input a scan in an excel sheet. The image is actually a mechanical drawing, so there are specified dimension boxes where, on paper, people could write the actual value of the dimension.

On other sheets, I calculate those dimensions, the drawing is a visual aid to make sure there are no irregularities.

What I'm wondering is if there is any to insert a cell into the dimension boxes that are actually a part of the image. That way, I could insert a formula and the value would show up automatically.
