How to create Excel template and save the input data into another excel file?

Hi.

Is it possible to create an excel template and post any data entered by the enduser on the template into another file (in a shared directory) as a database? If yes, how do I do that?

A simple example would be to have a template that request the enduser to enter his time charged to every project for a 1 month period. Upon clicking a button, for example, all the information would be copied over into another file as a database.
