I have looked around the forums and online and tried several excel tests and could not come up with a correct solution (and yes this is my first post here). I will try to explain this as best as I can. I am also providing a sample excel example of what I am looking for.
I am given this strip of text data, which I then copy into excel to record one column of "data block" into the sheet. The data can be as much as 90 rows long all recorded (pasted) into one column.
Goal (refers to example):
1) Filter the text into two variables "Dog" and "Mouse" and combine that text with the corresponding text of what they do; "eat", "sleep", "walk", or "run". And do this in the correct order that the data gives it. The corresponding text follows after the variable "Dog" or "Mouse".
2) Filter out the random "Junk" text that randomly appears in the data.
3) Divide a table into Dog's actions and Mouse's actions, in the correct order.
4) The formulas and filters need to be dynamic so I can do this "filter" with any future strips of data.
Notes:
The number of "animal" to its "actions" occurrence, can be any amount, until the data stops. Also, the order of the occurrence is important.
If there are any confusions, not enough details or if I have posted incorrectly, please let me know.
Thank you for your time in advance.
