Calculating time difference

Hi,
I searched this forum for solved threads regarding the same type of problem.
Unfortunatly, all the threads had different formatting, and I'm afraid I don't thouroughly understand all the forumulas involved.

Anyways, the problem is quite simple:

Ticket open ------------------ Ticket close
2009-07-22 11:35:00 ----- 2009-07-28 08:43:00


I need a response time calculated in hours.
I can only get a response within 24hrs.
Ticket dates and times come out in the same cell when I copy paste from my other software.
