    Hi,
when you select a cell and then Freez Panes, all rows above and columns to the left of the selected cells are frozen

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. You'll find people are disinclined to respond to cross-posts because they may be wasting their time solving a problem that has been solved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser)to the cross-post. Expect cross-posts without a link to be closed a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us help you!

    Hi khanjee

You are getting free help - others are giving their time for nothing to help you.

Asking you, in return, to abide by a handful of rules is not asking too much is it? Rules that you agreed to be bound by when you signed up. We have just shy of 129,000 members. From the responses we get, we know that 99.99% of our members don't have a problem with that, which puts you in an extremely small minority.

Perhaps we should ask arthurbr if he had better things to do with his time than answer your question which had all ready been answered in another forum.

    Some recommended reading for you.

No they are not the same.

There are a number of forums that exist supporting Microsoft Office, and I along with other contributors to this forum post at other boards as well as this one. Frequenters of other boards, such as Mr Excel will also post here - Richard Scholler, moderator at Mr Excel, has a number of posts in this forum.

...hence the line in this post.
