Help please

Could someone please help me? i'm trying to count a cell with a number and text in it, But only what to count the number & not the text.something like this for info Cell A1 the sheet has this inside it 1 BOX i can count it with out the text but as soon as i add the text it goes wrong.

can you try using COUNTA instead of COUNT?
counta counts non blank cells.

Hi Yes this did work, but if i change the number from 1 to 2 it does not change the number.
