Unhappy Counting cells pertaining to other cells

    Hello,

I have a curious question. I've looked up excel help and looked through some of the quick tips and what not stickies on here and couldn't find nor know exactly what to look for. So hopefully someone can help me.

I have an excel sheet that basically is accounting for number of shirts sold.
I have all my formulas working except for one set of fields that I have to do manually because I don't know what I need to do to make a working formula because I'm quite new the excel.

Below, I've attached my excel. The problem I have is with the fields from column D to I and lines 119 to 124.

I basically want to know if there is a formula I can use that will count the correct size of the shirt color. For example, the first one is a White in Small. The count in only 2. The data is from line 4 to 111.

Thank you, if you need any more explanations, please let me know. Sorry for the long post.

Put this formula in D119 and then copy it down and across.

    =SUMIF($C$5:$C$111, $B119, D$5:D$111)

And you can change the C119 formula down to:

    =COUNTIF($C$5:$C$111,$B119)

Wow, that looks like it worked perfectly. Thank you!

Can you explain it to me by any chance so I know what's going on in the formula? Thank you!

I can see why some of my orders were wrong after comparing it to the original.

SUMIF() and COUNTIF() are similar functions.

    =COUNTIF(Range,Criteria)
Counts the cells in the range that match the criteria.

    =SUMIF(Range,Criteria,SumRange)
For each cell in the range that matches the criteria, it sums the matching value in the sumrange.
