Angry Mistakenly replacing newer version of Excel doc with an old one

    OS: Windows Vista

Do I have a problem! I use Excel to follow my spending habits. I fill it regularly on my PC, and from time to time, I refresh the same document on my laptop by replacing it with a current version from my PC. However, yesterday I stupidly replaced the current version (on my PC) with a month-old version from my laptop (resulting in both PC and laptop version now being the old one). To add insult to injury, this is the ONLY fileI haven't backed up! I would enormously appreciate any advice on retrieving the data (not more than 5 lines of Excel doc)/the whole document. Thanks in advance!

Try Pandora Recovery, although it is best (a) if installed before you need it (but try using a flash drive) and (b) as soon as possible after making a mistake (c) with minimal use of the computer between overwrite and recovery.

    good luck.
