    text box weirdness

I consider myself a fairly experience excel user, but I've never come across this problem before.

Whenever I format a text box to have multiple columns, the text disappears.

I'm sure there's a simple explanation, but I can't figure it out. Please help, it's driving me nuts!

    That looks like a bug.

If you activate the textbox the text re-appears.

Is there any way to fix it? The text doesn't show up when I print.

Not that I can see. The textbox needs to be active in order to see the text.
When printing or previewing the textbox can not be active.

Only work around I can think of is to use single textbox for each column.
