    Data Sorting

Hello all-I hope this is the appropriate place to ask this question. I cannot seem to figure this out from a manual, I have a HUGE DB of 500,000 items with 5 main columns of info. I want to sort column 1, which is a unique identifying # from low to high . However, I want all of the remaining columns to stay attached to that first column. In other words, when I sort column 1, it seems that columns 2 thru 5 DON't change. Is there a way to tie the other 4 columns to the first column so that the ROWS don't change?

    Thanks

    Signed,

    Re: Data Sorting

Hi Surfdog, welcome to the forum.

When you select column 1 to sort, Excel *should* prompt you to expand your selection to include data to the left or right. If not, you could always do it manually. Simply select columns A:E and then perform your sort.
