Exclamation Changing Date from XX.XX.XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX for a column of dates

    Hi,

I have a list of dates formatted such as 17.06.2009 which excel does not read as a date. I need it to be converted to a date such as 17/06/2009 automatically (preferably using a macro).

The correctly formatted date must replace the cell it was originally in. Multiple rows of dates exist.

    Any ideas?! Thanks!

Ps. Dont let me get fired!

Why not run an Edit -> Replace on the data replacing: . with : /

(record yourself doing it if you prefer a Macro based routine)

Another possibility : Data - text to columns - delimited - Next - Next Check DMY ( in Format) OK
