    Is it corrupt

I have a large excel work book that always ask's if you want to save changes, even if you have not changed anything. It is not linked to any other excel sheet.

I fear it may be corrupt as I had a problem with one of the worksheets not updating figures even with auto calc on, solved that by re-entering the formulaes.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you are using a volatile function such as TODAY() or NOW(), then Excel automatically recalculates the worksheet/workbook and would prompt for a save even if you made no manual entries.

So its basically this formula that could be causing it. can you confirm.

    =IF(ISERR(INDIRECT("'(1)'!E14")),"",INDIRECT("'(1)'!E14"))

The workbook this is in is part of my work price estimating procedures, should i be concerned about it or is it just one of those things.

    Thanks for you help.

Well, if you tried the link DKO provided you would see INDIRECT listed as one of the volatile functions. So, yes - it causes your workbook to recalculate and forces Excel to see this as a change in the file.
