    help:league table

    Hi,

    Have a bit of a problem so thought i would joint this forum to see if anyone could help - apologises if i've posted this in the wrong place.

    It seems to be a recurring problem with people doing similiar things as it appears loads on google seaches but i dont understand how they did it?

    I'm trying to set up a fantasy league at work and was wondering how to get the league table to update itself? (told you it was a recurring problem)

    i know the basics of adding up the points each teasm gets but getting it to update itself i completely lost at?

    is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

    I've attached a mock league im intending to use.

    wow - that was quick, thanks visual.

    would you mind explaining what you did in basisc terms so i could learn at all?

    would this work on excel 2003? - that's what my office uses...

    Yep Donkey, I knew this way, but I didn't want to use array formulas, assuming that he might has 25 or more teams...

    Helper table is linked to "totaled" cells, and added to the decimal number in column N, to make 'em unique.

    It looks for 1st , 2nd, 3rd etc largest numbers in helper table and then returns team names.

    And no, u won't be able to open it ising 2003. U must save it as 2003 workbook. TO do it press F12 and selecet required format and press save.

    If it meets your requirements, mark the thread as "SOLVED", and don't forget to add reputation by pressing blue scales on the right of your screen

    How to mark a thread Solved
    Go to the first post
    Click edit
    Click Go Advanced
    Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
    Change to Solved
    Click Save
