hyperlink by clicking on text ONLY

    Hey there.

I have a lot of text in a cell and I want to create a Hyperlink using only 2 or 3 words and not the whole text. Unfortunately, it seems as though the hyperlink can only be from the cell itself.

Is it possible with Excel to create a Hyperlink from a section of text in a cell, and NOT from the cell itself?

    Thank for your help,

    Charles.

    Hi,

I'm pretty sure it includes the whole cell, so you couldn't put two links in one cell.

But if you have only one link then to "highlight" the word, try this.
Create the hyperlink to the cell, then click and hold the cell then format the text before and after the "word" back to Black and not Underlined.

This highlights the word, but still the whole cell has the hyperlink - any good?

    Yeah, thanks.

I just wish I could make it just like if it was a regular text, but in a cell, and be able to ony select two or three words for a hyperlink. Wherever you cllick on the cell, it opens the Hyperlink. I just wish it would open it only if I clicked on a specified text that is a part of the cell.

    It's the only way, eh?

    Thanks.
