Insert Excel 2002 Spreadsheet in Word Document

I am trying to insert an Excel 2002 spreadsheet into a Word 2002 document.

I've tried cut and paste and tried inserting the spreadsheet as a link, however, I cannot get it to copy correctly. The spreadsheet is in landscape format to fit on and 8 1/2 X 11 sheet horizontally. However, it only copies to Word in Portrait format and I can't pull up any Copy Options button to change the direction.

I'm also inserting pictures into the same document and I find an option to turn the pictures horizontally.

I'm stumped. Thanks.
