    Excel, resize file

    Hi all,

I've got a question. I am working on an Excel file, which contains around 25 sheets of data & graphs. This should not be that extraordinary.
However, the file is around 60 Mb large. It takes minutes before it has been saved and again minutes before it gets openend.
My question is: what can I do to resize the file (without deleting data & graphs) or to get it saved/opened much faster (it is not due to my computer as it performs very well for all other programmes and even other Excel fils).

I am not using macro's, nor pivot tables, nor any other "advanced" function.
I was referring in certain sheets to other sheets, but I have already deleted the reference functions (which didn't solve anything actually).
Though, I have put my graphs in other worksheets, but I do not want to remove them.

What could be the problem and what is the solution?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Cheers
    Matthias

If you run a search here / google re: file bloat you should find a few useful links... eg:

Great! Thx a lot, it worked well. Me = happy now since the file is now 700 kB large (small).
