    Wrap Text Problem

See attached file. I want the entire text wrapped to fit in the cell and I'm not sure why it's not working. It only wraps part of it.

Also, I know there is a character limit in a cell, but how does merging cells effect that limit?

    Thanks in advance

Not a very helpful answer. Maybe my question should have been more specific....what excel parameter is responsible for constraining my text?

    Re: Wrap Text Problem

Sans line feeds, Excel will not display more than about 1k characters in a cell.

Move some of the text to another cell.

    Re: Wrap Text Problem

Can't move the text to another cell.

But I find that answer unsatisfactory as well. If I increase the column width, more text displays. I can actually make the columns wide enough to display all of the text. But that isn't a practical solution either. So I still don't have a good understanding of how excel determines cell limits.

I also don't know how line feeds would alter anything.

    Re: Wrap Text Problem

Interspersed line feeds allow Excel to display a lot more characters.

    Good luck.

    Re: Wrap Text Problem

Thanks for the tip. That did help.

Now if anyone can explain excel's rationale for determining cell size, I would be grateful.

And how merging cells effect the cell's limit.

    Again, thanks in advance.
