Hi,
Is there a way to display non-printable characters (e.g, carriage returns) in a worksheet? I know that I can clean them out using CLEAN(), but I also want to locate all cells that have them before cleaning.
Thanks,
John

You could use Conditional Formatting to highlight the cells by searching the text for the carriage return character.
=SEARCH(CHAR(10),A1,1)>0
On my computer, non-printable characters show up as a box with a question mark. Not on yours, I gather?
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
