importing from csv in excel2007: decimals as text not as numbers

When data from a csv file is imported to excel 2007, some numbers (seems to be those with decimals) are imported as text.
How to tackle this, where are some relevant settings ?
    Thanks

When you import the data, don't skip through the import option screens. On the last screen says something like:

"This screen lets you select each column and set the Data Format"

Use the screen to find your decimal value columns and properly format them.
