Unable to open the document with Hyperlink

Hello Experts,

I have an excel file in which some of the cells needs to be hyperlinked to another PDF document. I have the excel sheet and the PDF file in a single directory.

The problem which occurs is, after giving hyperlink to the corresponding PDF file, a message appears as stated below,

"Some files can contain viruses or otherwise be harmful to your computer"
"it is important to be certain that this file is from a trustworthy source"

Then it asks for either OK or CANCEL. I do OK, but thereafter another message appears.

"No program is registered to open this file"

So, i am unable to open the document with hyperlink.

Experts, plz help me out in this problem

Are you able to open the PDF outside of Excel?

I have just tried to do this and I only get the first message you mentioned. Clicking OK it just opens the PDF with no further warnings.

It sounds like a problem with the PDF reader.

Go into macro secuirty and you will see the option for trustworthy.

Opening the pdf otside the excel is working fine.

Then, for macro Security, I have security leval as "Medium"
In the next "Trusted publishers" tab, i see that the checkbox "Trust all add-ins and plugins" is enabled.

But still i observe the error message "No program is registered to open this file"

put the security to low and try again.

I ve had alook into the problem and it looks like its an on going problem with no fix
