    Lookin for Data Validation

If you take a look on the attached spreadsheet you will see a section with Departments and the employees who work within that department. I would like to get the names from the range D26:G29 as the validated data for the range J4:NJ18. Any suggestions on the best way I can achieve this would be appreciated.

I am aware that could just list these names, if this is the only solution other than VB is there a way to automatically add names within the range to a list.

Can you write all names in one column or row (rearange your table) so you can easily put validation list.

Or in some place in document sort this table to a list and use that range for validation list.

Re: Lookin for Data Validation, Solution Suggestions!

    see the attached example.
keep it simple if you can. just write "=" formula to create the table / list.
that way if you change a name, the list will be updated.
    hope it helps.
