I've read a bit on the web about there being a bug with the 'edit links' feature. How/Can I get this function to work?
Thank you

Care to elaborate? Does the spreadsheet have links in the first place? The Edit links option will only be selectable if there are links.
Well, I designed a spreadsheet at work. There are links galore between pages. It was getting too big. So, I copied the workbook and continued creating reports. The problem is that next month when the data changes and I need to drop it into the main template to pull all the data, I was hoping to copy the reports from one workbook to the other and just 'edit links' so that it pulls from the right workbook. I know, long story and maybe not the best planning. But, when I go to the edit links on the data tab under the "connections" box, edit links is grey. I'm starting to panic!
Sorry - I should mention I use Excel 2007 at work. It was the end of the day when I made my initial post!

The Edit Links function is used to control links between different workbooks ie, external links. If your workbook has no external links, then the tool will remain greyed out (as you don't need it).
It sounds to me like your workbook has lots of internal links - if you copy the workbook somewhere else, the links are still looking within the same workbook, so it shouldn't matter.

Please familiarise yourself with the rules before posting. You can find them here.
I thought of that last night and wondered if that was my issue. I'm going to try to copy in a worksheet with external links and see if that corrects my problem.
Okay that worked.
I apologize for the dumb question! Haven't used the edit links enough I suppose.
Thank you for the solution!
