Need to know how to create the 2 following graphs (pictures included)

Hello everyone,
Using excel 2007
I need to create 2 specific graphs in excel 2007, but im not sure what charts to use exactly. Please see the image below to view the graphs I require.

Also, for the "double bar graph" (graph with red and blue) is there a specific manner in which I need to set up the data in order for excel to graph it? For instance if I was looking at average rainfall for Jan. 03 and Jan. 09 would I set up data such as this

Date [Amount of Rainfall (inches)]
1/20/03 [33 ]
1/20/09 [21]
2/20/03 [28]
2/20/09 [29]

Would that work?

these are the second and first types of column graph respectively, so with cursor in data, click graph button, select second or first type... profit.
