    Pivot Table or something similar?

I have created a basic "soccer game roster" chart in excel with player names as the first column, then quarter 1, quarter 2, quarter 3, quarter 4 as subsequent columns headings. Each player is assigned one of 8 possible positions each quarter.

This table works great when I'm trying to figure out the lineup each quarter, for instance, the night before a game. But ideally, on game day, I'd like to have the chart set up to have the 8 positions as the first column, and each players name as the values in the field under each Quarter column heading. The columns for quarters would stay the same...It's easier to read this way during the game.

So ideally I'd like both tables for each game, starting with the first version, but I don't want to recreate the "game day" table from scratch.

So - can I do this with a pivot table, or a transpose type action?
