bookmarks on a worksheet?

Hello friends!,

I have a worksheet that has a fairly large amount of data, grouped by state. I want to be able to access certain points along my table using shortcuts or bookmarks.

To be specific, i want to be able to go from A1 to,say A150, and from there to A450 and back to A1(Back To Top, or something like that), like you can do in web pages.

As always, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You could add hyperlinks to cells in your sheet.

Right click a cell, select Hyperlink, place in this document,

enter a cell reference.

or you can Name your respective cells (eg select A1 and name it Range1, A150 and name it Range2) and thus by latterly entering/selecting the desired name in the box above A1 (eg Range2) you can navigate to that cell directly (like a bookmark).

Thanks a mill, your directive works like a charm, straight to the required cell! the only limitation i have with this method is that, like all databases, my own database will not remain static; it will grow (or shrink). this means that cell references will not remain constant; i.e. State X may not always start at cell A105. Is there any way to make the cell references dynamic?

with reference to the issue i cited in my reply to Sweep (regarding dynamic cell referencing), your range reference method seems like it might do the trick, only i do not know how to execute it! I will be grateful if you could show me how to use your method.

Hi,

I am implementing a solution that involves creating hyperlinks to named ranges (the range comprise the leftmost cells of the area of interest).

Right now, this is working very satisfactorily.
